Residence organs are designed for players who need two manuals and pedals for practise. They require particularly careful voicing due to the small rooms in which they are often placed, and higher pitched principal registers are therefore usually avoided in favour of wider scale ranks such as a fluty Gemshorn. In this instrument an independant pedal line is provided from the Open Flute 8, which has excellent definition. Two contrasting manual 8 foot ranks share a common bass for the lowest eighteen notes.

The casework offers an opportunity to express the owner's interests. Here, two different owls are carved amongst oak leaf foliage.

Dimensions are of prime importance when considering the purchase of a practise organ. The footprint of this instrument measures 1540mm by 740mm for the case itself, plus a further 650 - 700mm for the projection of the pedalboard and stool. The height is 2295mm.
